O deputado trabalhista Ian Davidson propôs um referendo em Inglaterra sobre o Tratado de Lisboa e a continuação daquele país na UE. As questões são:

Should the United Kingdom retain its membership of the European Union?

And if it remains a member of the European Union, should the United Kingdom approve the Lisbon Treaty?"

Em Inglaterra discute-se, em Portugal cala-se a discussão.
